Arrival by Air and Train
We make your journey to Belvèze as simple and stress-free as possible. Guests arriving by air can travel onwards by train to Montauban Ville-Bourbon station, where complimentary pickup and drop-off are included in your retreat package.
The three most convenient regional airports are:
Toulouse-Blagnac Airport
Take the airport shuttle to Toulouse-Matabiau, then a direct train to Montauban.
Bordeaux-Mérignac Airport
Travel to Bordeaux-Saint-Jean by direct airport tram or shuttle, then take a direct train to Montauban.
Bergerac Dordogne Périgord Airport
If you’re flying to Bergerac, please contact us before booking your onward travel. We’ll help you explore the most convenient options for reaching the retreat, including the best train connection, a shared transfer or other suitable arrangements.
Pickup times will be arranged around your train arrival. Once your flights and train tickets are booked, please send us your travel details so we can coordinate your collection from Montauban.

Arrival via Other Airports
If you’re arriving on a different day or outside the agreed pickup time, BlaBlaCar, may be a budget-friendly option to consider. This popular carpooling platform allows you to share a ride with someone travelling towards nearby towns, although availability is not guaranteed and depends on drivers’ schedules.
For the simplest journey, we recommend flying into Toulouse-Blagnac Airport and taking the train to Montauban, where we can arrange your pickup. If you’re considering Bordeaux-Mérignac or Bergerac airports, please contact us before booking your onward travel so we can help you plan the most suitable route and coordinate your arrival.

How far in advance should I book flights?
We recommend booking flights 3-6 months in advance for the best rates and availability and book early for July/August retreats. Once your retreat is confirmed, book your flights and share your details with us so we can coordinate pickup times for all guests. (Note: Most airlines release flights 11-12 months in advance.)
What if my flight is delayed?
Please contact us as soon as possible if your flight is delayed. We'll do our best to accommodate late arrivals. If you'll miss our last transfer, we can help arrange alternative transport (at your cost).
🚗 Getting Here
Is there public transport to Belvèze?
No, there's no direct public transport to Belvèze. Rural France has very limited bus or train service to small villages. This is why we include free airport transfers from Toulouse-Blagnac Airport – it's the easiest and most convenient way to reach us.
📅 Booking & Logistics
Can I arrive a day early?
Yes! Early arrivals and extended stays are often possible, subject to availability. We're happy to arrange additional nights before or after your retreat. Contact us to discuss accommodation options and pricing for extended stays.
How much luggage can I bring on the transfer?
Each guest can bring one large suitcase plus one carry-on bag. If you're bringing additional luggage, please let us know in advance so we can ensure adequate vehicle space.
Do I need to rent a car during the retreat?
No! All activities, meals, and excursions are included with transport provided. You won't need a car during your retreat. However, if you'd like to explore independently before or after, rental cars are available at Toulouse airport.

Scenic Routes
Your drive to Belvèze through the rolling countryside of France is part of the experience. Expect beautiful landscapes, sunflower fields (in summer) and charming villages along the way.
Fuel & Services
Petrol stations and services are available along the major routes. There are many rest stops along the way, often spaced only 20 km apart. These offer space to park and rest, toilets and a picnic area. Additionally, “Aires de Service” are larger rest stops with petrol stations, food, drink, toilets and picnic areas. Our local towns, Montaigu-de-Quercy and Lauzerte also have petrol stations. Towns and small villages in France typically have public toilets, usually located close to the Mairie (Mayor’s office).
Toll Roads
If driving from northern France or Paris, expect motorway tolls (péages) of approximately €40-60 each way. Plan for cash or credit card payment. These roads normally offer a smooth and pleasant drive. Expect congestion around the main cities, but generally, it’s a fairly clear run and pleasant drive. Avoiding toll roads is possible, by taking longer routes through the countryside.

Rental Cars
Car rental is available from airports. We recommend booking in advance, especially during peak summer season. Please note there are no local drop-off points in the area, so generally you would have the car for the duration of your stay.
